The theme of the work was 'The Senses Factory', my project focuses on the use of hearing in the perception of architecture. Due to the given topic, while analysing the plot, I decided to investigate the sounds qualities that occur there. Apart from the sounds typical for this part of the city: cars, construction site noise and passing trains, the sounds coming from the nearby churches stood out. Therefore, the church organs became the inspiration for the architectural form. It was also important to to integrate the site with this part of the city, so the first floor was largely raised and used to create an open green space with seatings and with space for outdoor concerts.
