The task of the competition was to design a concept for a building addition, which would consist of 2.5 floors on top of a listed building. We proposed a system that will adjust in the maximum possible way to its new inhabitants, to every possible model of living and to introduce new alternative ones. Living units without kitchens or with limited space for cooking, for people who are willing to share their kitchens with neighbors, as well as sharing common spaces and

Whole building can change at every moment. Grow over the years, adjust to needs. Giving people power and trust is giving them also dignity. We wanted to take a more humble position as architects and create a system rather than a finished product. We wanted to leave our design open to interpretation and adaptation for its users.
