team: laura speckl, bernadette koller, benedikt radloff, bernadetta budzik tutor: prof. philipp kamps At a prominent location in the Stuttgart cityscape, the new concert hall is positioned as a link between the Schlossgarten, the new Europacity quarter and Stuttgart East. The difference in elevation between Europacity and the adjacent Schlossgarten to the east is modeled by an inviting terraced landscape. On the joint and apex of the topography, the concert hall towers above the valley. The terraces of sandstone gabions as a reference to the old Stuttgart grow out of the topography and lead visitors naturally into and through this special public place. Above them, the crystalline concert hall floats radiantly and confidently. In continuation of the terraces, filigree staircases lead upwards and open up the concert hall in a generous and festive way. The world of the concert hall articulates itself transparently and flexibly.
